Can anyone compare/contrast these strings?

So far I really love the tone of my Rotosound PSD's. But they're too long for my 34" scale Jazz (the string continues to wrap around the tuning post past the colored wrap). After reading some reviews and what I could find, I'm thinking about trying either DR Longnecks, La Bella Super Steps, or GHS Contact Core Super Steels. Who's used one or more of these? What did you like/dislike about them? Also, would I have the same problem with them being too long? Thanks.

Anyone? I'm trying to decide if I should switch to/try out some other tapered/exposed core strings or just stick with my Rotosounds. I don't think it's really that bad for the string to wrap around the tuning post like it does (it doesn't go very far), but it does kinda ruin the look so I'd be willing to give the others a chance if they could help me there...

I'm not sure about those specific strings, but I know this:

GHS's are decent, but tend to lose their tone pretty quickly.

La Bella's decent. They're pretty good, but not amazing, imo.

DR's are good (not to put them on a pedestal), but they're not for everyone. Read up on the forums on what other people say about them tonally, and if that's not what you want, then keep looking.

So what?
You want to change to other strings just because it warps where there ain't silk no more? That's normal. Some strings don't have silk at all.
If they sound good to you stick to them.

Well, it's not so much that I want to change strings as it is just that I'm willing to give other strings a chance. Other than the strings that came on my two basses, I've played only Rotosounds from the beginning (stainless, nickel, rounds, flats, pressurewounds, now the exposed cores). While it may not affect the sound, I do love the look of my bass, and the uneven silk wrap just irks me enough that I'm willing to give the others a shot.
