La Bellas, in my experience, are pretty long. But, through the body stringing on a 35" bass, I'm not sure. |

You should also look at the Ken Smith Burners. I have had great luck with them in the past. You might also try a set of the Fodera Anthony Jackson signatures. They are a little pricey, but I mean the Anthony invented the contrabass, so I am sure they would sound great. Plus, they are for a 36" scale length and should have no trouble with through body stringing on a 35" scale.

| | | | I don't care for tapered strings. I don't like the way they roll on my right hand finger tips. I also find it hard to play fast on them. |

I used my digital caliper and found that few strings are actually at the .005 gauge intervals that they claim. D'Addario strings were pretty spot-on, as well as Circle K. Most others were off by -.001/.002.
Furthermore, Circle K has some thick strings that can't be found in many other places. These help with the balanced tension concept.

Just wondering if they will work on a 35" scale! | I used them on my 35" 5-string for years. They have a nice tight feel to them, good solid low B. Typical nickel string sound. I liked them. The only reason I don't use them anymore because I sold the bass that they were good for.

Put a set of K.Smith's on a Epi 6 string. Decent strings, except the B is weak. Dont let that prevent you from buying a set though, B strings are funny with every manufacturer IMHO.
