Can i use

Sign in to disble this ad
polyurethane catalyst instead of denatured alcohol to soak my strings?

Btw i used Hydrochloric acid and it worked i got a bright sound btw will this destroy my strings ?

I would think that the acid depending on the amount of time that they were soaked, would indeed weaken the overall strength of the strings. But then again. I'm no science major.

I went to a shop and didin't find denatured alcohol I was pissed off.Then i found i had hydrochloric acid I knew that it clean things.So i used it at my strings I putted my whole set i will post the results later

Very bad.

It corrodes most common stainless steels, I doubt ones used in string manufacture are resistant, though I could be wrong.

You should be able to find DN in any hardware or drugstore, also known as methylated spirits.
