Change the strings now or at setup time?

I am looking at replacing my bridge with a Gotoh. The stock one on my MIM buzzes and slides around. I also definitly need new strings. Should I buy the strings now and put them on and enjoy breathing new life into my bass or put them on when I get the bridge in the mail and I have the music shop set it up?

Will they leave the strings I have on my bass on if I go to a shop and have them set it up?

I just don't want to pay for a set up then when I get my new bridge have all that work mean nothing.

I prefer to set up on strings that are settled in nicely, so they are done stretching and intonation can be set properly...
