Changes to Labella HRS?

Sign in to disble this ad
does anybody know of recent changes to labella hard rockin steel strings?

i went through 4 or 5 sets 40-128 this spring and summer, set up my bass for the first set and left it that way.

now when i bought 2 new sets, i had to change neck relief (was suddenly near straight)

and even more strange: intonation an the B was screwed, had to move the bridge piece right to the other end in its slot.

so, have labella changed them? they sound the same as far as i can tell, teh B may be a bit looser feeling, not sure about that.

Maybe just a coincidental seasonal humidity change is the culprit.

not bad as i initially thought. plus, i screwed up setting when i tried to fix it...

in the end, it is still strange that the same string requires a different setup. not much, but some.

it was 90% my mistake...

the remaining 10 may be a matter of wheather change or usual production variables. they sound as great as ever!!
