How often do you guys change your strings?

Im using Roto's swing 66 roundwounds on my fretless 5.Its been over a year to say the least,maybe more.Ofcourse i dont gig regularly or record often.I just have some one off jams so i dont feel the need to change the strings that often.

Im thinking about boiling them to get them cleaned up,though im not too optimistic about the results.

How often do you guys change your strings?

Try some denatured alcohol, soak the strings for about 12-24 hours then wipe them off - brand new sound!

I change them when i need to and can afford to. Every 2-3 months usually

Rotos last Me about 2 months...wipe them down with naptha after each use.
I play at least 30 hours a week on them.

Monthly. And that's usuallly a stretch for me.
