Changing strings for different shows and moods.

I have been thinking of getting some of the DR neon strings. I want to have different colors for different types of shows and switch back and forth as needed. Is it ok to change the strings back and forth like this?

It sure is. And the added bonus is that using the same gauge and manufacturer will eliminate the need for truss rod adjustments and other aspects of a setup.

If you have fast top load bridge I could see doing that some. However if its the bridge type that would require uncoiling peg end of strings to get them out theu bridges rear hole, nope. Cause in my expoerience once yhou removed strings that way a couple times the sound has deadened a fair amount. Not so much an issue with top laod bridges where coiled up peg hawed end of strings gets slid off perghead and doesnt go out thru the bridge. Even then I wouldnt want to change the strings around too often, cause strings do get duller sounding after a few times of that in my experience.

Of course if you prefer the sound of dead strings and flats, its prob a non issue since they sound that way allready. Lol.

Thanks for the input. Don't want to drop a lot of cash on strings and only get to use them once of twice.
