Protip: Don't buy from your local shop. I was looking for a new set of Elixirs for my Ibanez that would've cost me $80 at the store, so I got them online for around half of that.

I used to use DR lowRiders at $36 a 5 string set.
Now I use Dean Markley Will Lee Sigs at $27 a 5 string Set.
Cheaper and Much Much better sounding!

I'm gonna order some Will Lees myself. Not sure what I'll put it on though. MIA Jazz or Sterling.

The Japanese Yen has weakened recently against the U.S. dollar, making imported goods more expensive...

Ernie Ball Regular Slinky: $25
D'Addario XL Chromes: $37
Elixer Nanoweb: $55

And no Wal-Mart!

The prices you pay for strings vary so much

shops in Australia sell D'Addario EXL's for $45 a pack...I buy them from an e-bay shop for $20 a set...and yes, they are authentic...

Labella Nylon Tapes cost $89 US from their site...Carvin carries the same strings for $20 US...

I only use these two types of strings on my basses, so I'm not really familar with other prices...

I use Strings and Beyond. Not a humongous selection, but the bases are well covered. They have also sent a freebie something or other with every one of my orders; a strap, polish, picks.

Over 39.99, I think, and shipping is free.

No affiliation.
