Around 30 sec or so the bass picks up to a slap line, what kind of strings do you think he's using? Nickel or Steel rounds?
I'm currently using Ken Smith Slick Rounds (half flats) and they aren't cutting it on my slap tone.
I play a lot of phish/dead stuff so I need to have a real good pick tone with mids scooped, but I need also a great slap and finger tone.
Recommendations?
