Chromes 50-105 Vs rotosound 50-110 in terms of tension and brightness.

Hi everyone, I think im tiring of the super high tension of the rotosound 50-110 flatwound set i have on my p-bass.

Im interested in a set of chromes, becuase of all the great reviews im looking at the chromes medium 50-105 set. (apparently they do not do a standard 45-105 set.)

Has anyone tried both these sets?

Are these 2 sets close in brightness?
Im looking for that nice smooth feel, but brightness to pull off most styles.

Tension,... The chromes should be alot less tension that the roto 50-110s right? Im not looking to go totally floppy, just easier bends, etc..

Thanks for your help!

I have used medium gauge sets of each. Rotos higher tension and brighter, the highest and brightest flats I have tried.

Why not try a lower gauge? In my experience, the gauge doesn't matter so much with flats, and high tension flats can really wear out the hands.

P.S. You'll get more attention in the String Forum. Repost this there, and you'll get more opinions.
