They're actually kind of a dull grey like the Sadowsky flats I have on my bass now. Did I really get Chromes? The silk is a medium blue in color and the ball ends are red, blue, green, yellow, etc. rather than brass. |

I've never even seen chromes, so I wasn't sure. I expected them to be brighter in color than my Sadowsky flats. I'm pleased to hear that these are the right strings.
Thanks, folks! |

Thanks, folks! | Yep.. gotta second this. With a name like chromes, I expected them to be shiny and smooth.
I've never really used flats much. The last set I had were Ernie Ball's and they were very shiny compared to these.
I actually did a search to find out the same thing...
They seem to play alright so far. |

The instructor informed me, that the 2 students who use the bass, were really wowed (or jazzed ) about playing that bass. Puts a smile on my face......converting youngsters into flatwound users.

| | | | yes, mine glare sunlight in the right direction. They are great stings. Though I prefer roundwounds for stuff like Stone Temple Pilots. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
