Chromes vs. EB Flats

Anyone A/B these two? I'd be interested in hearing how they differ in tone and tension. I've used both before, but not on the same bass. By the way I'll be putting them on a Gretsch G6072 Long Scale Hollowbody Bass.

Thanks.

I think they are pretty similar in terms of feel and sound. Both have good thump once broken in, and both can have good tension (I like the 50, 70, 85, 105 sets). If anything, the EBs are a little thumpier and warmer.

Both are good. Chromes are brighter with more tension and sustain, they're a pretty modern flatwound. Ernie Balls are not as thumpy/old school as LaBellas, but more so than Chromes.

Chromes seem quite a bit higher tension than EB Flats , Ive used both and chromes seemed a lot more stiff feeling , btw i would take the EB flats over the chromes anyday
