Chromes on a Warwick

Sign in to disble this ad
Hey all, 1st post here, I read all of the advice on flatwounds and went with some Chromes for my Warwick Streamer STD with a bartolini pre. I really dig them so far after a day or so. How much better would some Thomastik infields be, would you recommend the jazz flats?

I am playing mainly jazz/funk/blues right now and the tight focused sound of flats seems to fit well even tho I have recieved very vigilent anti-flatwound advice from the asst mngr at guitar center here in town, we have a bet going as to whether or not I will like them, but hey, hes a guitar player, what does he know

Anyways, thanks for the advice and you will be seeing a lot more of me in the electric and URB forums!!!

Every Bass I've ever put Chromes on sound good, except Schecter's........they sounded good by themselves, but in the mix they get lost.........
