They have a nickelplated steel outer wrap and steel inner wraps.

I use to use Rotosounds but now Circle K's are the only strings I even think of installing on my basses.

How do they sound compared to Rotosounds?
Just wondering.
I've used Rotosounds forever because they have this 'sound' that I just love.

What is it about Circle K strings?
I havent had the chance to try any...yet.

I used to play GHS Progressives, actually I still do. But every time I go from the Progressives to the Circle K's, I realize how much I like them. I love the feel. The progressives are a tad warmer but not quite as flexible. Great strings but I can't wait to get a set of CK's on my Ric.

I will switch my basses over to them over time, the ones that don't have TI JFs on them. As far as roundwound strings go, nothing even comes close! The .150 set on the 35" Cirrus 5 is the clearest I've ever heard; not overly zingy, just clear.

(I got into roundwounds before even Entwistle/Squire--Chris Hillman! Imagine the fun, trying to find strings in St. Louis in the early 60s.)
