I placed an order for some drop tuned .150 strings from Circle K 2 weeks ago. Got a paypal receipt email, and a second email with my receipt order number. This was on January 30th.
I've sent two emails to customerservice@circlekstrings.com because that's what they list to do on their website if you have any questions concerning your order or shipping.
I sent a pm to knuckle_head yesterday here on the forums inquiring about it.
I don't expect a pm back right away, I'm not worried about that. But I've sent two emails about 3-4 days apart and still no response? I was going to call today from work but there isn't a number listed on their website.
They do have some info on their F.A.Q. page about shipping. Quote:
Shipping
Q: How long will it take for my strings to arrive?
A: That depends on the method of shipping you selected upon check out. Orders are processed daily, and usually go out the following business day (orders received on Friday are shipped on the following Monday) but the turnaround time is usually 24 hours.
| I don't mind waiting a bit for my strings, but I was expecting them sooner than later. If there's an issue with something, I'm fine with that, but I'd expect at least an reply to my inquiry to at least notify me of it. Anyone else had to wait longer than usual from Circle K? The main reason I went with them was because of the overly positive vibe of this company on TB. |

They may not have your strings in-stock and had to wind more of them (Standard .150's seem to be rather common). It may have just, unfortunately been missed. Having met the guy and ordered a few sets of strings through him, I can say that he's been nothing short of fantastic. 10 business days is usually on the longer end of the shipping scale, but not uncommon. Just try to be patient regarding the email/PM. I personally get over 1000 emails per day at work, 3/4 of which I actually have to respond to.
Also, there's no accounting for USPS these days. I work in the mailing industry, and you'd be surprised as to what goes on behind the scenes.

I was just inquiring about my order and got kinda worried when I hadn't gotten a response back. I'm all about supporting the smaller businesses with quality products. And I don't mind waiting. It's just that if something is holding my order back I'd like to be aware of it so I don't feel so depressed every time I go to the mailbox with the hopes that the strings for my new project bass are gonna be in there. |

Many times, on these boards, we come across situations of upset/irate users who didn't receive products on time.
Most often, it comes out that he/she ordered it well outside of business hours, at the start of a weekend, and after a day of no response, commences with the rude, unjustifiable emails and internet flaming.

Would like a response eventually, though I'm in no rush.

I might add a low G to my order, hopefully I can tack it on. I ordered a 4 string set but I think I wanna order the bottom for if I decide to put em on my 5 string setup. |

Going on week 4. I've got a lot of parts coming from Warmoth today for a Charvel neck thru project I was working on. And since I don't have these strings in yet, I went ahead and went to a local shop to grab a pack so I can put together my bass tonight and at least make sure the electronics are working and wired up right, along with adjusting a new nut and intonation with the new bridge. |

yikes, thats scary. sorry as much as i love that company and know their situation, 4 weeks without response is simply unacceptable. now im worried considering i was already charged and have heard nothing.
that would really suck because i love their stuff. is there any other company that makes extra large gauge in case i need to find a new company? |

And I've heard nothing but good things about Circle K. I can understand the loss of a dedicated employee/family member, but a business can't just halt and cease to operate because of it. I'm not knocking the company, and not knocking the strings. At the end of the day I'd rather have the strings because I hear so much about them.
I wasn't too worried about not getting my strings at all or anything. Their presence on the forum reassured me that they care about their customers and really are a good company. I was just expecting to hear back from them with something to at least let me know what's going on.
I might email em again today. I'll keep my head up high because I'm really not mad or anything, I just really would love to have an ETA on it.
Ironically, the band that I was getting these strings for (that play in drop A) messaged me about 30 minutes ago for me to come in again to jam for some more auditions.
If it falls thru with these guys, I really don't have a big need for the set that I ordered with the fatter .150 string. Tho I might add that G to round it out for a 5 string set for my Ibanez 5'r |

my only issue is being charged. they have my money and i have heard nothing. if the guy who runs circleK is unable to do so, that is fine, but he should have either shut off his paypal acct (or frozen it) and at least just told people dont place orders, im going thru XYZ, etc.
theres a disclaimer that all new orders would be shipped after Feb 12, that was 9 days ago, and it just seems nobody has heard from the guy. so i hope the business keeps going cause their stuff is awesome, i just wanna know whats going on.
maybe im just more scared after reading thru that dr bass thread? lol |

And I can safely say that, at all 3, an 8-string set will cost you $96 shipped.

I ordered a set of .175 specifically for a Dingwall Prima Artist of mine (to be tuned F#-D). The set arrived and thanks to the postal service it was soaked wet. I took pictures and all, but due to the wrong lead the Postal service directed me to, there could be no insurance claim made!!! Knucklehead send me another set for free (s&h too)!!! That is a big thing for a very small operation. The tone is fantastic as well as the quality of the strings.
It was not their fault that the Postal service directed me the wroing way so I could not claim the insurance, but they really did more than most people would.
In fact I just came back from a rehearsal and I was playing that very bass!!! Still in love with the tone of it.
I would not worry if I were you. They will sort it out. I am sure
I am not affiliated with them in ANY way. Only as a repeat customer with positive experiences from them
