Cliff Burton using flatwounds

I was told by someone that on the Kill em' All recordings that Cliff Burton used flatwound strings. Is this true?

Here are some sound samples:

It is almost believable that Cliff did use flatwounds on Kill em' All because IMHO on the bass track it sounds like some flatwound strings I have heard before, but I want to get everyone's opinion on here on the subject.

I started this thread because I could not find any thread about this, I already searched all Cliff Burton threads that I could find. I'm sorry that I was not online to see that entire thread about this, but I am curious on this subject and honestly have no clue about what he uses, that is why I am asking for everyone's input. It does no good to tell me there was an entire thread on this when no address for it was even typed in for me to go to it. If you saw that entire thread then maybe you can help me, did he use flatwounds on those recordings?

I think that they are really old Roundwounds. You have to remember that they were really poor at this time. Cliffs Ricky was in a very poor shaped and suffering from feedback and rh interferance. So a friend of the band fixed his Ricky with new picukups. And he also said in an interview that he usese Rotosound Roundwound strings

I believe it was flats on Kill 'em all, and Roto Swings on the rest.
