Which of these four flatwound sets will get me closest to an URB sound? I will be putting them on a MIM P-Bass.

Thanks,
Joe

I've only tried one of those and its sounded pretty close on my fretless. I hope your P bass is a fretless.

I think the Roto Tru-Bass strings were specifically designed to emulate Double Bass, so that might be the best route.

I have the labella 1954 jamersons and i can approximate a pretty good upright sound. They'll be tough to play if you aren't used to high tension, and they may do a number on your neck, you'll have the tweak the truss rod for sure. A fretless isn't needed if you set you're action high (it can't really be low with the strings for them to work well), you'll get no fret noise if they're high enough. That will sound much more like an upright that a fretless going mwah. (but a fretless with these would probably work even better)
