Coated string with hexagonal core?

Sign in to disble this ad
Does anyone make a round-wound string with a hexagonal core and a coating (like elixer)? I would love some extra tension in my strings but really love how soft elixer strings feel. Thanks!

I'm pretty certain that all of the coated bass strings on the market are hex core... no?

Actually on second thought, I think the DR Coated strings are basically coated Hi Beams, if so then they are round cores.
