coated strings elixirs vs dr's

i am a hardcore elixir polyweb user, but now ive been seeing these dr coated strings.

anyone try them out? compare them to elixir polyweb strings?

They are very different in that the DR coating is some sort of lacquer, as opposed to the microfine webbing on Elixirs. The lacquer will wear off in spots with playing, but of course doesn't fray. Also, it doesn't impede the harmonics much, which I found the Elixir coating did. For more opinions, search the forum for e.g. "Black Beauties" or "Bootzillas".
