colored dr strings

i play a fretless and i saw these and they look like flatwounds.

so yeah, are they?

DR? No. Not yet at least. They just released their first flats, the Highbeam flats, so maybe we'll see some colored flats from them.

All coated strings sound dead, or at least "dying." What makes a string sound dead? Having gunk on it. Why do coated strings ALWAYS have less "zing"? Because they have gunk on them.
