Colored low-B (only) for my 5string? Single strings avail?

Sign in to disble this ad
Well, I love the sound of my five, but I've played the standard Fender 4string for so long, that sometimes that low-B string confuses my eyes.

I think if I put a colored (black?) string on that Low-B, it would help me remember that it;s NOT the E-string! Sorta like "training wheels".

I usually play Daddario (or similar) rounds. Does anyone know a source for single colored low-B bass strings? Or might I have to buy a whole set just to get the .125?

Thanks guys, YM.

Thanks mmbongo, excellent!

Does anyone know the structure of the DR B-125 Black Beauty Single B? Rounds?, 1/2 rounds? Flats, something else entirely? I'm really looking for a Rounds sound for that B to match the others.

All of the DR color coated strings are the same thing as the Hi-Beams with a thin coating on the outter wrap wire. Stainless steel string with a round core. Hope this answers what you were asking.
