Colored String Help

Sign in to disble this ad
I am leaving for Jamaica to play 4 shows there in March. I am thinking of doing something that I think is pretty silly, but kind of cool. I am thinking of changing my strings on my Trans Blue Modulus to DR Peacock Blue strings. 2 questions -
1) Are there other choices for blue coated (or whatever) strings?
2) Best price/place to find them (I do not have a GC anywhere close)

DR is the only one I can think of making blue strings. You can always order them off musicians friend.

Silly or not...I'd make sure you try these strings. I hated coated strings until I tried the DRs I got as a gift...they're now my favorite string!

Maybe see if you can find green, yellow and red- Rastafarian colors, or maybe thematic, if you will.

Thumbs up

DR also makes the Cool Blue strings, which I have on my LPB J 4 and 5 strings. Unfortunately, I don't have a pic to post at the moment. The DR website doesn't seem to have any pics of them either, but perhaps some of the string vendors do. I think they look good against the LPB with a white pickguard, especially on the maple fretboard. The Peacocks were just too turquoise for me.
