yeah i know many people ask this, but ive read the sticky on strings and its too complex for me to understand the reviews and such on strings. i want a simple straightforward answer which i could not find searching for over an hour on the subject elsewhere also, so i ask this:

i am looking for strings with a nice warm tone that dont sound tinny or clunky, within the range of £15-£30. what is the best type for this?

I use TI (Thomastick-Infeld) jazz flats. I find they give a warm woody tone not unlike a double bass. They have a very low tension which does not suit everyone. They are on the expensive side but within your budget and worth the money IMO. I get mine from : www.lordofthestrings.com
