Comparison of DR Bronze Strings vs Martin Bronze Strings

Hi:

I am receiving a Martin acoustic bass for Christmas, which I am very excited about. The bass will come with Martin strings, but I am a DR fanboy. Does anyone have more updated experience playing DR's. A search yielded a thread from 2007 with two responses. Would like to see if the collective has some info on these two strings. I will use the bass to play contemporary christian and some folksy ballads. I will be using the bass to play unplugged in a living room Bible study, and plugged in at the occasional fill in gig for the folksy stuff.

First, which is louder acoustically?

Second, which one is longer lasting?

Third, which ones won't gunk up my fingers?

Finally, which sound better through a plugged in bass?

I also have a set of TI flats laying around at home that I might use at some point. Can someone tell me how much volume I will be losing before putting them on? Will they have more, or less volume then tapes?

Thanks
