Yeah...sorry. my response was all in good fun.

But aren't Sunbeams just nickle round wounds on a circular core? Lots of choices for that.

So I have to ask, what do you not like about the Sunbeams, but want something different?

I like the sound and flexibility, but the feel is a little too slick for me. I like a little more grip in my string. Also the Sunbeams are a tad too boomy for me, although I think going to a lighter gauge (currently using 105-45) of Sunbeams would solve that.

Have you ever thought of trying a stainless steel or alloy/hybrid round string? These are everything you describe.

I played SS for many years (Lo Roders) but I want a darker low mid heavy tone. What are some hybrids that you can recommend?
