I was at my local music shop on break from work when I saw a beautiful thing: acoustic tacoma thunderchief 5 string fretless. holy crap I had to buy it.
so now I own my first 5 string-

question: I don't like the low b that much- any suggestions on what brand to look at for a high c?

Don't know about strings, but I had occasion to ask Mike Tobias what I should buy when I was in the market for a 5 string acoustic a while back. He recommended this bass.

Congrats! I settled for something cheaper (JBPlayer), 'cuz I just didn't have the cheese at the time.
