I just had an experience that I feel others should know about. I was stringing up one of my basses with a set of TI Powerbass strings, and in the process, accidently broke the D string. Fortunately I had another set, so I robbed the D string from that set and finished my set-up. But then I had a partial set on my hands. I sent an e-mail message to Connolly and Co, who distribute TI strings here in the US to find where I could buy a single string, as I could not find anywhere on the Internet to purchase singles. Two days later I got an email message returned to me from Eliza Aldrich at Connolly, informing me that they had sent me a new string and it should be arriving in a couple of days. No charge. Amazing customer service. In addition to selling (IMHO) the best strings available. That is the kind of service that will keep me as a TI user for life.

Never broken a TI string so I haven't had to use anyone's customer service, but the strings are great. I've been using Superalloys for a while now and I can't find anything I like better.

I had a similar experience except with the TI directly.

They had me send the old string to them to inspect for defect and sent me a new one.

I also made a thread about the experience.

I use them on my upright. I hate those Jazz Flats, but I love Superflexible upright strings. Good to know they have great CS if I ever need it.

They are the best. Instrument and string making obviously has a lot to do with the tradition of such a city like Vienna. I just changed my strings with DR High beams (not because i wondered how they were but I couldn't find T-I's in the city I'm staying now) and again surprised at how far away the other brands are from the excellence of Thomastik-Infeld strings. I'm so sad now, for my bass has turned into a mere piece of garbage. Thanks T-I for bringing value to the instruments that deserves it. I'll be dreaming of the next time I'll get a fresh set of T-I's until that day comes. Maybe I'll just throw the DR's away and re-string my bass with the old Thomastik-Infeld set I took out of my bass.

I also had experience with Connolly and Co; they are what customer service is all about. Great people who have a great product.
