D' Addario Chromes question

I have a 34" scale Top load bass and am interested in trying a set of Chromes.

I know that the short and extra long scale sets are not for me, but should I be ordering the Medium or the Long scale set?

i love em! but since you have a `top load bass' why not load in some CircleK's fatboys,droptune and do somthing new(you have frets?)

sorry fresh of my practice session,i keep battling with myself over strings,want to buy phat strings and drop tune, do new rock stuff but i'm also fresh on a fretless neck and don't want to tear up the fretboard,,utilising chromes and i will always love those strings no matter where life takes me,,,`nuff said there!
