News to me!!! I thought DR stopped making flats!!!?!? I gotta get some if they making them again!!! (Actually, it'd be silly not to make them I think...)

Yes, they have silk ends. The 4003 in this photo has DR flats on it.

Yep they have gold silks on them. I like the tone of the strings but the strings are long so the fat part of the string wraps around the tuning post. The problem with that is the string can break apart easily with the round core they use. I just wish they could make it a little shorter.

Thanks, you boys are fast. Thats a lot of information. I intend on stringing them on my Lakland with the through the body bridge. Although i have been told that i should not run flats through the body, I have also heard it will not cause premature breakage. Upon hearing that DR's round core are perhaps more flexable and therefore not as "strong" I may just string them at the bridge.

I dont know about DR but i string through the body with TI flats - no problem...
