D'Addario strings a very nice. I've used them forever. I've recently been using Dunlop, because I like the sound of them as well, but I just put a fresh set od D'Addario XL165's on my project Jazz. It sounds wonderful and I like the stronger tension of the strings. They wouldn't be as popular as they are if they weren't good strings. You see them on concert stages all the time.

I haven't had an issue, in years, with D'Addario. When I did, they were more than helpful.

i resisted d'addarios for a long time because they were cheap and i associated price with quality. but once i tried the xl's, i was hooked, and for about 20 years, i've used xl's as my only roundwounds.

I had trouble with a G string Chrome a couple years back, and they took care of me way above and beyond expectations.

Ditto. I once had a dead E string in a set of Chromes and D'Addario sent a whole set to me -- no fuss, no mess.

Even though I try other stuff, I always end up coming back to the XL's.

Sent them an e-mail a few weeks back about a dead E string from a set of Chromes (second one in about 20 years). They sent me a whole set. Very nice of them, don't you think?

Angry

You've gotta be kidding... D'addario has the worst customer service I've ever talked to. They don't read emails (correctly), know nothing about their own product, and sent the wrong part number when I had a problem. Pissed me off so much I'll never use a D'addario product again.
