D'Addario nylon teapwound unraveling???

Sign in to disble this ad
Has anyone else seen this yet???? The G string on my 2 week old set of Nylon Tapewounds has unraveled and is unplayable. I can tell you that they are definatly round wound underneath the nylon.
I am going to E-mail them and hepefully get a replacement string as I adore these stings on my jazzcaster bass.

I use the LaBella tapewounds and have never had that problem. Never tried the D'Addario tapes but generally speaking I really do like the feel and sound of tapewound strings. I did try the Rotosounds but they felt kind of "rubberbandish" compared to the LaBellas. With the LaBellas I get close to a flat wound sound but with a little more definition and still retain wisper quiet slides and fretting. One of these days I'll try a set on my fretless but for now they reside on my Jazz basses. Good luck on the replacement.
