Arrow D'Addario or Sadowsky flats ?.. for 5'ver fretless w/EMG's

After reading and reading flatwound reviews .... I'm close to figuring out what to get; however still not sure. I got my fretless w/the current flats already on it ... (blue/purple silk; don't know the brand ... not bad though).

I've used/liked Fender Flats and La Bella flats (can't find for a 5'ver) .... wondering what will complement my bass the best. Personal preferences are for: slightly stiff; semi-dead tone but responsive; bright-ish/clear harmonics; a goodly amount of mwah. (harmonics and tone are highest priorities).

Bass:
Warmoth (large) Maple jazz body w/ EMG's, aggie OBP-3, Maple and Ebony neck.

I've read great reviews on the Chromes, but I'm afraid that with the Maple body and EMG's ... the tone might be too bright.

As far as the Sadowsky's ... not sure if they are still made by La Bella ... if they are; they might just be the ticket.

Haven't played GHS's, but reviews seem to be lackluster ... so I believe they are out.

Open to suggestions for other brands of Flats
... Except for TI's .... too rich for my blood.

Thanks ahead of time.

I have been through a few sets of Sadowskys, light gauge, on different basses, and I think they are great. Much lower tension than Daddarios, and more tension than TIs. Sound is very clear; you can even pop and slap on an active, bright bass and they sound great. And they seem to last forever.

I settled back with TIs because I like the darker sound and lower tension.

I'd also go with the Sadowsky strings due to more consistent quality.

The D'addarios a re good strings but I'v had some sort of issue with about 50% of all the D'addario strings I have purchased. To their credit, they have righted the situation every time.

Thanks .... I do believe I'll be going with the Sadowsky's.
