| D'Addario Tape wounds on a Breedlove acoustic
On recommendation of others, obtained a set of D'Addario nylon tape wounds for my Breedlove acoustic bass, but the wrap at the end is too large to go into the bridge, and I wonder if I should drill out the bridge (Icertainly can do this properly), but wonder if it is advisable. I hate to modify the bass to fit the strings, but I doubt I can remove the wrap and still have the tape wounds...
Any other recommendations? I need to do someting as the tone is not good, but the bass appears to have it's original strings. |
