D'Addario XL Nickel Round Wound vs DR Lo-Riders Nickel

I need strings for a 5string fretless for playing soul, funk, r&b, reggae and some hip-hop.
Which strings would you suggest?

I prefer D'addarios because they're cheap and good. Having said that, I don't think it makes a whole lot of difference.

Having tried both, I liked the XLs better and in .050-.105 gauges. JMO.

but don't you think that DRs would be better for the types of music I mentioned because of the depth and mid-range growl, which they do have more than D'Addario XLs, right?

I didn't really notice a difference between the two until I got to the cash register. Hey, try the DR's if you want. The worst that happens is you're out $22 instead of $17.

The only problem is that it's $45 vs $60 in my country
