Hello folks i was wondering if the standard long scale daddario xl's will fit on my fender american precision string thru body bridge? or do i need the super long scale strings? How do these sound on a precision are they a good balance of lows and highs? anyone use them on a Precision?

I used them on my MIA P Bass a long time. I used to like them, they're not really my thing any more. They don't sound bad, they're just not the tone I want. I've recently switched to flats. (Chromes to be exact). Good punch, nice thumpy sound, just what I was looking for.

Yea, like Alex van Funk said, I've also used them on MIA, MIJ & MIM Ps, both string thru and not, and they're my favorite string. I've also found that I can find deals on them more easily than other brands.

As I recall standard length was a bit too short on my ATK strung through-body.

D'Addario's website has good instruction on how to determine the proper length.

Use the super longs, the regular longs come up a tad short when routed through the body. If you go thru the bridge however, the regular longs will do fine.
As far as sound they are a good, basic, meat and potatoes string!
