| "Dead" rounds on a P-bass

In concert with the numerous flats vs. rounds discussions, and specifically on P-basses, there were suggestions for trying "dead" roundwounds. I have a used set of DR Nickel Lo-Riders that were taken off of my Spector Euro5 LX about a year ago. They were kept as emergency spares. I strung them on my Fender MIA P-bass and am I glad that I did. They sound great! The mellowed top end lets that midrange stand out.
