I just won a set of Blue Steels. i know next to nothing about them who uses them? I need some info to decide which of my bass to put them on.

I use them on my Fender MIA Jazz, they give it that sought after Jazz bass growl. They sound really nice, even though they're about 3 years old. When new, they have that great piano-like tone that is so popular, and that lasts a decent amount of time. Personally, I like them better after they're broken in.

I think Rex Brown uses them with his Spectors.

Good strings. Use them wherever you would use Rotosound Swingbass or GHS Super Steels.

I used to put them on my MIM pbass. Loved them until I found the helix that they just came out with. The stainless steel ones have a great hi end tiny ness to them that I love with a pbass.

I've played these strings since the 80's on my jazz bass and they really add the sizzle. Not to mention my sweaty hands destroy ghs boomers, and slinkys. The blue steels stay very consistent and bright for a long time. Just have patience because when new they are very bright but settle in quickly.

As I said, I have them on my MIA Jazz, but I'm thinking I might also swap out the GHS flats on my Squier VM J for them. They just seem to fit well on a Jazz.

I use them on my Jack Casady bass, lots of life in those strings! ;)
