Just put my first set on one of my J basses last month...great sound! I'll definitely be putting them on some of my other basses.

Tried the nickel plated blues steels. Loved their sound but soon ditched them for Rotobass nickel steels. The DMs were more tense and rough then the Rotobass strings. Also the DM E-string was just okay to my ears, if not a little dead sounding.

I use either Rotos or Blue Steels exclusively. On my vintage bass(es) at that. And I play aggressively. Does it wear on the frets? Soitenly.
