Dean Markley question

Sign in to disble this ad
Hi guys. I got a 5 string in a trade recently that has Dean Markley strings on it. The previous owner had a hard time remembering they were Dean Markley, and couldn't tell me what set they were. They are medium gauge rounds and have red silk at both ends. They're not zingy at all although he said they were pretty much brand new. They're also slightly lower tension than the Black Beauties I have on my other bass, and easier on the fingers too. Any guesses? These strings sound great and I'd like to know what they are for future reference.

Only deans I can think of that might have red silk at the ends is the Dean Markley 8801 Misfits Skullbusters bass strings. Theyre 46-106 gauge. Blue steals got blue silk unless they changed their color since last I used them.

The blue steels now have white silk on them
