I have a few sets of blue steels on standby given to me by a friend with a Dean Markey indorsement. I did really like the nickel bluesteels at on time but know they aren't even in my top ten of strings to use.

They are nickel and not really bright but very clear and well balanced! I don't really care for bright strings since I play with GK and Aguilar equipment. Those strings really showed the character of that bass in gobs.

I have not tried the other Markley strings, but might just give it a shot based on some of what I've read here. I think the Will Lee's might make some sense for me.  |

It's mostly because I discovered DR and didn't come back.

However, I have tried the Blue Steels numerous times and was satisfied on most 4 string basses I tried them on.
