Deep Talkin Labella Flats: From 760FM to 760M - Big Difference?

Sign in to disble this ad
I've used the Labella 760FM (.049 - .109) in the past on my P basses, and really liked them. For some reason I've shifted to rounds for a little while, but about to go back to flats on the good 'ol P-bass again, and leave the rounds for the Jazz.

Thinking of going with the Jamerson set (.052-.110) this time... do it or not?

I didn't particularly find the 760FM set to be super hard to play, actually easier than some other strings I've used - will I be in for a surprise of I go to the Jamersons? Too stiff or pretty close?

Has anyone here made this move? If so, worthwile?

Thanks.

I have the Jamerson set on my p bass right now. Very tight and very thick. That low E definitely hits you right in the face, if you know what I mean.
