| First of all, I'm mainly a flats guy, but I wanted one fretless with rounds, and since I really like the DTB flats, I figured I'd give the rounds a go on my CIJ FL Jazz. They didn't quite live up to my expectations, although I did get some compliments on my tone. I found them a bit weak relative to flats and they also felt a bit oily out of the package. Then again, maybe most or all rounds aren't as ballsy as flats (to my ears) and you could always run a cloth dampened in isopropanol over the strings before you install them.
