Did Glenn Matlock,Paul Simonon and Roger waters use Flats?

I've been wondering the same thing about Roger Waters, it sounds like he uses them on studio recordings but I'm not so sure about live, sometimes it sounds more like rounds to me.

i've honestly never heard "Matlock" and "Simonon" in the same sentence as "great ...tones."



love both players, honestly, but I certainly don't think of them when i think "great tone."

Whatever floats your boat, I never understood why people drool over Jaco's nasal tone Or Geddy lee's tone!

Knowing that Fenders came with flats back then, I wouldn't be surprised if they used them. But who cares? Blaze your own trail and use the strings you like. Strings mean nothing in the long run.

I've also never heard Marshall bass amps in the same sentence as great tones, but different strokes, huh?

yea thats true, but those marshall vba400's with the 8x10 cab looks totally awsome!
