Does anybody know if there is a difference between Rotobass (unsilked) and Swing Bass 66 nickel?

I believe the swing bass ones are pure Nickel (blue pack) , and the Rotobass are Nickel plated steel.

I could be wrong as on the new packs of the nickel 66 they no longer say pure Nickel, where the old ones (lion pack, in use till around early last year) used to. So either they stopped mentioning it, or changed the string to Nickel plated steel.

I've tried steels, nickel plated, but how does a pure nickel sound?

If you check out their site you will see that they are identical to the Nickel Swingbass set but unsilked and therefore less expensive.

it says - "Nickel on steel, extra bright, unsilked so therefore less expensive than the
RS series".
Not that they are exactly the same, they could well be though, but the Nickels dont say Nickel on Steel as these do.

The Nickels you will only have to tune once and they'll stay there until you change strings...shame thats probably a month max tho!

If anyone is interested i have a recent recording with a nickel set on an Aerodyne Jazz which is the best recorded tone ive achieved so far......
