Different string gauges in a custom fitted nut?

I just sent out my bass to get some work done on it. One thing I'm getting done is a nut custom fitted for my bass. The guy doing the work told me to get a pack of strings for him to fit the nut to. The only flats I had access to were 45-105's. I like to use slightly higher gauged strings. Would the difference between the 105's and a higher gauge, let's say 115, damage the nut or the entire setup in general? Or should I ask the guy doing the work to fit it with a higher gauge?

Get him to set it up with the gauges you'll use. No point in him setting it up and making the nut when you'd have to redo everything once you get the higher guage.
