In dire need of flatwounds

Sign in to disble this ad
Well here i am with my Vintage modified fretless fender squire jazz bass and it has roundwounds.... i need to switch to some flatwoudns but i do not know which ones to get my price range is anywhere up to 40$ for a set of 4 strings as well my current bass g string is very very thing and tooo bright hich bothers me greatly so i do not know which gauges to get either... if it is needed i play a wide variety indie, punk, ska, a little metal, alternative... So im hoping i can find some strings to replace my horrible manufactured ones... Please help.

I want to kind of know why i should buy and use the certain strings as well if possible please :/

I like Daddario Chromes you'll be under budget and happy when they wear in. The first week they are a little bright, order a pizza while you practice!

Check out Justin Meldal-Johnsen's demo of these strings on his P-bass. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cm_4M-nBpCE

More thump, round and bassy. Think Motown.
