I cannot find these Rotosounds anywhere! And I absolutely loved the tone they gave me. Here's the 411

Rotosound Swing Bass: 66 RN 66LD
Standart Gauge 45 65 80 105
Long Scale
"The nickel on steel roundwound bass string"

Can anyone find me this same one?

According to the quote I think it uses Nickel AND Steel. That one looks like its just nickel roundwound.

it's nickel plated steel, like most of the "nickel" on the market...only few make pure nickel strings.

So is nickel more superior than the "nickel on steel" bass strings that I love so much? Should I quit complaining that they discontinued it and go for the nickel Swing Bass?

maybe this will help :
http://www.bassplayer.com/story.asp?...storycode=4037
here you can see most of the strings that are on the U.S market,
on the pure nickel they have only fender and Rotosound, so i guess that you are looking for that set of strings.

if you want to be more sure, you can write to this Email :
jason@rotosound.com

jason is a great guy, and Rotosound are great strings for me and my basses.

i hope i helped you .
