So here's the thing. I had a good thing going with Fodera in that I had a signature set of custom gauge strings through them where I could just call em up and say "hey it's Adam again I need some more sets of my strings" and they knew exactly what to send me. Well the last time I called they informed me that they had "discontinued" one of the gauges that I use in my string set and so they would no longer be available, which is unfortunate because I loved how the Fodera strings felt. So now I'm on the quest for a new brand of strings. I've been talking with Ken Smith and they offer all the gauge sizes I need/use but I've never used their strings and before I blow $40 on a test set I wanted to get some opinions hoping that at least one person here has tried the Fodera nickel strings and ken smith burner strings. Any thoughts? |

.400 - .105... I'm sure Garry Goodman would be all over that, although I can't see the .400 being very flexible.

I don't know why nobody offers that as a set, must be some reason.

So you want something like .040 - .105
thats no problem |

The tradition is for tension to rise from low to high strings, most sets are like this. Circle K Strings and a very few others are now selling sets with equal tension on each string, which is a huge improvement. You and I Mr. Bongo are ahead of the times with our falling tension |

Which ended up costing about the same as the Circle K's I have now, which is great because I prefer the sound of Sunbeams. I tried this before at Just Strings, but it was approaching $50 using singles so I abandoned that idea. This should work great.

There are two sets of products, those already signed up as "Forum VIP's" and the standard user. To become a "Forum VIP" register on the site and put in the comments you are a forum member! |

Pm me what you were interested in. Plus, you are not yet a forum vip for special pricing yet!!!!!
Also, i think you were putting together a burner set. I have not added the burner easy build your own set option. It will be up later tonight.
I will check into why shipping came out to so much with the burners... The weight my be wrong on one or more strings.... Thanks for letting me know I want bassstringsonline.com to be the best most easiest to use site with the most fair prices and incentives to shop with us!

I am direct with him so I will not step on his toes at this point...
But for future reference... The Burner "Build your own set" option will be available on my website - BassStringsOnline.com later this evening.
There WAS an error in the product listings for the burner singles and I am double checking the other single strings now. They had the incorrect shipping weight and size. |
