Question Do Daddarios have silk?

I soak my strings in Isopropl Alchol (however thats spelled ) so do the roundwounds have silk? I dont want messy lose silk everywhere. THKS

nope, no silk. the chromes have silk but that's it.

Use DENATURED alcohol. Isopropyl alcohol contains water...very bad for your strings.

Denatured is basically liquor....with a poison added in to allow it to be sold in stores other than liquor stores.

Should be able to find it at a hardware store or home improvement warehouse.

no silk on the nickels and don't want any. water is fine in boiling as long as you towel dry right after. i still got strings from my first D'ad. set that i done boiled dozens o'times and played for years.
