hey everyone

i bought a five string fretless Sei jazz bass about a month ago. it has about a year old set of DR hi beams on it the only thing is i am more of a nickel man.

so i was thinking about getting a set of sunbeams on it but i am worried about losing this great tone that i am getting with these strings.

i wouldnt even say that they are very abrasive so no worry about fingerboard

so what do you lot think, keep the hi beams or get a set of sun beams on it?

Dave

For a fretless i like the warmth of nickels better. I think Steels would be too zingy, but its up to you.

Put the Sunbeams on. That's what I use on my fretless as well as my fretted Pedullas. Love 'em.

No offense, but if you have a "great tone" now, why are you even worried about changing strings right now? Why not wait until your current strings die, and then decide?
